Milestones

Since 2005 The Building Fund has been working with The Tuskegee International School, The Young Apostles International School, our donors and partners to create opportunities in education. In our brief history we have seen change in the students, teachers and volunteers that we work with both at home and in Ghana. Our current accomplishments and milestones are listed below.

 TBF Awarded Grant

The Building Fund received a grant from The Nathan Cummings Foundation, to suport the capital and operating expenses of The Tuskegee International School and The Young Apostles International School.

Scholarships for Tuskegee Students

 The Building Fund provided scholarships for 16 students at The Tuskegee International School.

Phase 1 Construction Completed

Phase 1 of construction at The Tuskegee International School was completed and over 250 lbs of supplies were donated to fill classrooms.
 

Donation to The Young Apostles International School

Our first donation to The Young Apostles International School enabled the transport of 25,000 books to the school.

Partnership with 6 Friends Organization

A partnership with the 6 Friends Organization connected Tuskegee student to students around the world through an innovative online community.

Tuskegee Donation

A $3,000 donation to The Tuskegee International School furnished and completed structures for classrooms.

Computer Donation

Through the generosity of our supporters, 9 laptop computers were donated to The Tuskegee International School.

NYC Fundraiser

100% of proceeds from our New York City Frundraiser went directly to The Tuskegee International School.

Tuskegee Trot

Our first event raised $7,000 for The Tuskegee International School.

Volunteer to Tuskegee

Bev Greenberg visited The Tuskegee International School to work with teacher and students; she continues to visit the school twice each year.

Founding

The Building Fund was officially founded in June 2005.
